New Publication: Humanitarian Action and the Value of Relationships: A Book Review of Chin Ruamps’ The Humanitarian Exit Dilemma

Isabel Muñoz Beaulieu, member of the HHERG, just published a book review of The Humanitarian Exit Dilemma by Chin Ruamps.

In her review she invites humanitarians, bioethicists, and policymakers to reflect on how decisions are made to exit or stay in a community affected by conflict. She evaluates Ruamps’ non-consequentialist account to address the dilemma in which both, exiting or leaving, can inflict harm on affected populations. Isabel offers a reflective account on the book’s arguments and highlights the role of relationships in addressing the “Exit Dilemma.”
